Research Project: Customers’ view and preferences on traditional and modern food retail formats in Guangzhou, China.

Hi! My name is Chen, Xianfei, a 2^nd year PhD candidate majoring in Human Geography in South China Normal University.

My research topic is customers’ view and preferences on traditional and modern food retail formats in Guangzhou, China. In this exchange program I managed to listen to many lectures with many students and teachers from different countries. I am so happy to work with international students from South Africa, Argentina and Germany.

Thanks to the opportunity provided by the DAAD-Network "Remapping the Global South" and the Global South Studies Center at Cologne University to interact with other students and professors from different countries. All were very friendly and nice and the study atmosphere and circumstance are wonderful. The two weeks life in Cologne gave me an impressive experience.
