Research Project: Agricultural Water Stress and Water management in Rajasthan, India.
I am Ravi Kiran, a MPhil student at Centre for Study of Regional Development, School of Social Sciences in Jawaharlal Nehru University, India.
My research topic is Agricultural Water Stress and Water management in Rajasthan, India. My research is trying to establish sustainable link between Irrigation, Crop Production System and Water Management.
Visiting Germany was my childhood dream which came true. Thanks to the opportunity provided by the DAAD-Network "Remapping the Global South" and the Global South Studies Center at Cologne University and Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi to interact with other students and professors from different countries. Attending workshops and lectures at the GSSC was helpful for my work as well as for my overall academic growth. I’m glad that within this short duration I could also know about the historical, cultural, social and geographical background of Cologne. I think it was a very productive and enriching training instance for my academic career and I am very pleased to have had this opportunity.
I have taken some amazing memories with me, in hope, of making many more.
