Research Project: Changing pattern of land surface temperature and its relationship with landscape characteristics in National Capital Region (NCR) New Delhi, India.

Hello! I am Suvamoy Pramanik, pursuing M.Phil. in Geography, at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi, India. My research topic is “Changing pattern of land surface temperature and its relationship with landscape characteristics in National Capital Region (NCR) New Delhi, India”.  As we know climate change and increased of earth temperature is one of the burning issues in recent days. So how historically climate of the urban area has been changed, how it has influenced by landscape characteristics and how the people are becoming vulnerable day by day are main objectives of the study.

I spent one month in Cologne. During my stay, I interact with the students, scholars, and professors. People are very friendly and places are very nice too. I also got chance to participate two workshops and both were very fruitful for my research. Overall experience was awesome. Thanks to research exchange programme between UoC and JNU. Professionally it was a great achievement in my academic career.
